i didn't get much but i got enough
4 limited factory Team Br00d battery packs from diver.
a turbo 35 GFX charger from my GF
my parents gave me $1000 to help me buy myself a Rolex Thunderbird watch.

i bought diver his team red edition CRC t-fource for x-mas.

Not to sound rude, but saying 'I didnt get much' and saying you got 1000$ is sort of contradictory in my eyes. Last year I got a mountain bike, and as a result of it's hefty price, this year I got next to nothing. I got contacts, which I needed. I did by myself some disc brakes though: (sorry no RC stuff!)

Dont ask about the brakes unless you really want to know.

Just FYI, I do have an RC car. I have my beloved emaxx but it has been down for quite some time. Between my job, my friends and school, it has gotten lost in the mix-up. I hope to eventually buy a new receiver for it to get it running again but its doubtful.

Well, it has to be taken into perspective. A thousand dollars doesn't go very far these days (that's basic rent in NYC) and considering how much the Rolex sl0eg1n purchased was, the grand didn't put a dent in the overall price.

No matter witch way you shake it..
It sounds pretty snobish.Ya no what I mean..

Sounds like some one is a spoiled brat.
I mean come on with a statement like
I didn't get much I got 1000$and a bunch of other crap.

Put that in to perspective

I got a sweater from my gf. HA Beat that!!! :hammer:

Oh, and bought myself some misc RC stuff from the forsale forum. (Thank you NJRC and Mr. TMaxx)

I didn't say anything till now but I'm with Zandor on this one. When I read the post earlier this week it turned my gut upside down. Now to read Divers truly puts it into perspective

The word Snobbish doesn't even come close to what I think. I'm happy that your family can afford expensive shiny things for gifts. I'm truly happy that your doing well. But to say you didn't get much and put it into perspective its only a months rent goes beyond anything thats proper for me to post......

This is perspective......
Our business community (Locally owned Mom and POP shops with no corporate help) raised enough money this year to purchase 200 bicycles and helmets as well as 400 food boxes. It made for an extremely rewarding but humble X-Mass morning.

Diver, what time it is?

Call it what you want. Yes, a grand is a lot but the same goes for the hours he put into saving for that watch. Pretty much the same thing we do to purchase the kits for the hobby.

Which is a good thing as well. Our work goes back home to the Philippines for the street kids mission and outreach funding. No ties to any big name or donations to world wide organizations. Then again, it's all year round, not just for Christmas.

Just our family coming together and sharing through the church outreach.

What, Ed, you don't want to use the needle nose pliers your neighbor used on his nose hairs?!?

The movie Napolean Dynamite...have you been living in a cave Revo? jk

Go check it out from your local video store, better yet just buy it since you'll want to watch it a few times.

Ok, just Googled it. Does not even sound familiar, but based upon tha fact that I do not know any of the actors, it's gotta be good.

And yes, I do live in a cave. I absolutely refuse to go to the theatres. I have a total of 5 times in the past 8 years, and the last time was to see the 40 year old virgin with a neighbor buddy of mine who wanted to see it so bad but his wife would not go. (she was nursing) :shy:

OK, I give, what's "Napolean"?
Ok RR, you have to rent or buy Napoleon otherwise when we meet up you won't have any idea about half the poop that comes out of my mouth! :jk:
I'm not that bad but I was the same way with the Breakfast Club, another all time classic, IMO!

RR, I'll tell ya, the first time you see it you'll probably be like WTF??? It gets funnier everytime you watch it.
