cheepo batteries?

The power might be decent on those, but the run time won't be. The more maH you have, the more run time you will get.

just remember the saying, you get what you paid for rings true in most cases. you are better off going with a mainstream name brand and a higher mah. and if price is the issue there are alot of rc sites to buy slightly used from long term members to trust. really just do some research before you jump on these. example, i just picked up 3 gp3300 race packs for 10.00 each in great condition and am gettin tons of power out of them and 20 to 25 minute run times.

Never skimp on batteries. You get what you pay for. Get a brand name and a high mAH rating. Save up a little longer if necessary, and you won't regret it later.

now thats a deal!! matter a fact i will be ordering one or two also

I hadn't clicked that link before my last reply. That IS a great deal. I got a pack of 60 Tenergy penlight batts, and have had no problems.

I have always went with cheapbatterypacks.com brand. Ya can have them custom made and they have great customer service. I have been more than satisfied with quality and shipping of these. Ordered 2 6cell stick 5000mah packs and paid only like $90 or so including shipping and got them within 5 days. Great quality stuff from there plus they have LiPos too. Also commonsenserc.com is a decnt quality LiPo site. I use them for all my airplanes and haven't had one fail on me yet.:thumbup1:

ebay is the cheapest ...you have to get them from china...that where there all made anyways....

I just ordered 2 x 3 cell li-po 11.1v 30c 3200 mah batteries for 50 buck's. The catch is I have to wait 10-14 days for shipping. That's 25.00 dollars a battery. I found them on e bay in the rc car battery section.:) Brand new battery's...

Hobbycity.com is your friend. Might take a little while to get them, but they are the cheapest and most of their batteries have good reviews. They had some issues in the past with cold solder joints breaking and maybe a bad cell here and there, but it looks like they've fixed those issues with better QC as I haven't heard any complaints about them in awhile, at least with the new run of batteries they've put out in the last few months.

yes this place is great I bought a lipo for only 24.95, but the shipping was 12+ dollars:eek: and the item comes from china or either Germany so it takes awhile to get here..but it is a great battery for what I paid, I plan on buyign another..:first_place:

I have 7 turnigy 2s 5000 mah soft packs I paid $20 each for. These batteries are great. I have heard that their cust service stinks, but every email and question I have sent them was answered promptly and to my satisfaction. They now offer a hardcase 2s pack for $20. can't go wrong in my opinion. If you get a bad one, just order another, they are only $20 each. "You get what you pay for" does not always ring true. If I would have followed that advice, I would only own 2 lipos lol!
HERE is the link to the hard case packs. Thats $19.79 folks. I am a repeat cutomer, so after I sign in, that price drops to $18.67. Unbelievable!

Holy crap!!! That's is a great deal, I'm gunna order 5 of them. They have pretty good chargers to, I can wait on shiping cause I just broke my leg tonight so I'll be out for a while. I hope I can make it to the race on Saturday tho.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot, You must put battery connectors to match your charger and esc. The wires will either be 8 or 10 gauge and you must have a good soldering iron for this.

I've been running a couple of the hard case Zippy/Flightmax 2S 5000mah 30C lipos for a while now and I love them. Excellent run time and no issues charging or balancing, probably close to two dozen cycles through them so far.
