Racin-38 how where you going to mount the cage I just have it sitting on it right now lol I was thinking of drilling some small holes in the chassis and zip tying them but thought I would ask in case you have a better Idea

i wouldnt ziptie it ,
i stripped the chassis and mounted it via drilling holes in the 4 locations and use the hardware that i included with the cage ,,
will that aluminum body mount brace work for ya ??
and i do believe the new bumpers will fit too ,,
if ya need me holla
lol
btw: it was mounted 2 5/8" from the rear of the chassis to the cage on mine ,but not sure if your chassis is short then the newer version or not ,,
just a heads up

Ok cool I diddnt even know there was hardware lmao glad I asked that would have sucked if I threw it way! And yes I'm going to use the body mnt brace mine is stock and I love the look of aluminum lol thanks. I just need a new tower for the body mnt I snapped one in two when I had a runaway and hit bit the dust into a pole at full throttle lol

Lmao yeah that was the first thing I did was get a fail safe I traded Plaidfish some Ofna Monster Pirate rims and tires for it.

everybody listen to Jesse G, always buy the fail safe first, i know. lol
even if you are buying your rc car/truck and failsafe together, put the failsafe in front of the rc car box in the check out line, or better yet, ask to make two seperate purchases; buy the failsafe first, then buy the vehicle. Or, if you're even considering an rc car, go to your LHS pick up a failsafe, then 5 monthes later get your car. Is this clear?
the first thing you should buyis a failsafe!!!

i learnt the hard way like most others
i had a rs4 nitro mt and not sure if i lost signal or what but i was running in our local fair gorunds and low and behold there was a soda machine in my way at wot ,with a 2 speed installed i may add ,
well it wasn't pretty ,luckily at the last moment i regained control and sideswiped it but tore the hole right side off and it caught the chassis and sent it kinda head on into the machine ,and bent the chassis ,luckily i didnt install the new 1 i had just bought ,
so none the less always have a failsafe AND a mechanical throttle return spring
i got both on my maxx lol
take care

My second time out I had my runaway and my Maxx hit a pole at Wot it ripped off the entire front end on one side lol I thought I was going to Hurl :puke:

I use either the Built in ones if the Rx is an HRS or I don't use them......but I make sure I run in large fields w/ no solid obstacles in the way.......I've had too many issues w/ digital servos and fail safes......

and jesse I still need to go get the hubs to mount those beastly gigantic wheels on my maxx.....but they look bad ass

The cage looks good! So does the maxx! I noticed the air intake type air filter on it. Hows that seem to work? I bought one off ebay on my Maxx (Also the older one) when I first got it and It wouldnt stay running (Then I seen your thread on the maxx wouldnt stay running) Mine seemed to restrict the airflow to much. So I was just curious how it worked on yours. lemme know.

I think mine might be the opposite and its getting to much air the tube is huge!!! I had to really squish down the elbow for it to fit on the carb either way I think its messing with the mixture I will have to look in to getting a stock one or a motor saver one thanks for the imput.

I wonder what those adapters that I sent you do fit ? The centers where pretty big where the axle shaft goes through. Let me know when you find the right ones and mount them on the mutant that thing is going to look sick!!!
