RC Driving Style
Are there any cheap performance upgrades? I already upgraded the skid plates, failsafe, and, throttle springs. Any other cheap upgrades to help performance? Maybe fuel line, air filter, etc????
 
I've heard that a new cooling head is a must. You can get a pretty cheap one on e-bay. I'm bidding on a "Traxxas T-Maxx 2.5 Giant Cooling Head made by ACNCM". It's my third try, but I should still get it for under $30.

Well I do plan on upgradeing my cooling head however at this present time since the weather is still on the cool side, the cooling head can wait a bit. I was just wondering if there is anythign else that should be upgraded for better performance. Otherwise I might as well just get the new cooling head.
 
Skid plates and chassis braces stiffen up the chassis. Also, aluminum bulkheads help out with flex and performance. Less tear-downs to replace the plactic bulkhead. The shock towers do fine, unless you are getting some major air. Aluminum towers really arent nessisary, but they do add some bling to your truck.

What does a fuel filter do and is it a must for an upgrade?
 
Fuel filter is a must! I missed that one. The fuel filter is a big live saver for the engine. If you live in a dusty area like me, you may want to put 2 of em on there.
 
yes fuel filters are a must i suprised you already dont have one..MT's are notorious for their rigidness that should have been one of the first.
 
When dirt and crap get in the fuel tank it will travel through the line and in to the engine. Now think of rubbing sandpaper across your piston and sleeve.That is what it is like when a piece of sand or dirt gets in to the engine. it will wear the engine down very fast. A fuel filter will catch all that crap before it gets in the engine. I have a big daddy fuel filter and it works great dubro,s are good also just remember to clean the filter at the end of the day.

and also..get a rec. hump pack..

plastidip your servos and rec box.....just in case if not for snow/rain raging...

RPM arms all around...and knuckles when u can

i need to get the knuckles next...

Drive it till it breaks, Hop the thing up that breaks, But It kinda depends what it is. Stay away from aluminum as much as you can really.

I thought aluminum is suppose to be good? Won't break as easily as plastic.
 
I would agree with him dont get Al. RPM is so much better. say u go off a huge jump and land wrong u will probly bend or snap an arm. but RPM stuff will bend and not break as easy.IF Al bends it will stay and then it is bent I have seen Al snap like plastic and if that happens u are out $20-40 but RPM is only about $10 bucks plus if u break an RPM arm they will give u a new one.Just save your self the headach and go RPM

Where can I go to get RPM stuff for the T-Maxx?
