Cheap build for MMGT!!!

This is another small build thread I'm creating for my Mini Mgt 3.0 . The main purpose of this thread is to custom fab things and mix and match parts from Various rc truck like the Hpi Savage X, Duratrax RT-X27 and the Traxxas T-Maxx 2.5R. Throughout this thread i will be taking as many pictures as possible along with as much info as possible. Please feel free to ask any questions about anything in the thread. I will also be reviewing each and every upgrade attempt that i make.

Truck: Mini Mgt 3.0 ($225-LHS)
Radio: Stock 3 Channel (STBU)
Shocks: Stock (STBU) One shock has actually bent so i replaced it with a stock rustler vxl shock.
Wheels: Duratrax RT-X27 stock wheels and tires(Free-spare parts)
Hubs: 17mm with stock Savage X lock nuts(Free-spare parts)
Engine: Stock (STBU) Planning on keeping it small block
Air Filter: Duratrax RT-X27 stock air filter(Free-spare parts)
Exhaust: Stock (STBU)
DriveTrain: Factory Team drive axles ($78.65-Towerhobbies.com) and stock tranny and center dogbones
Wheelie Bar: Custom Made wheelie skid plate(Free time)lol
Rear Tie-rods: Savage X(Free-spare parts)
Steering Tie-rods: Rustler Vxl Steering tie-rods


After buying the truck and buying the drive axles. I only spent around $305 and with replacing some of the other main weak points of the truck with spare parts everything else was free. I will be making my own roll cage and wheelie skid plate, and bumper braces. I've bashed it pretty hard in the last 2 two days and have only broken a bumper brace. So i will be replacing them with custom ones.

Here are the Factory team dogbones I ordered. I've already installed and run them. PERFECT!!!!!!
(Lost a screw had to leave one factory lol)

Thats about it for now. The next project will be the custom roll cage and bumper rings

Cheap builds are great, keep the pics coming! Not sure I like the wheelie/skid though.

Lol i made it because i like the body and i didnt wanna keep ending up on my lid. All this truck does is wheelie so i needed to make it.

Thanks for the feedback though. Do you not like the idea or the design? I can almost design anything where i work. And i have to tools to machine single a-arms if needed so? I'm going to be doing a full roll cage build next week and if you have a good idea for a wheelie bar,skid plate,mount, or ?? let me know.Maybe ill re-design my wheelie thingy lol

Just got done taking apart the motor and i bored the exhaust ports and some other small engine work. I also painted the cooling head black and header black and then i sealed the entire motor.(with silicone)Only ran one tank through it. It'll out run my revo os 18.tm from a dig the wholeshot. EVEN TOPEND. Ill get a video of it tomorrow then ill have to find out how to get them online.
