Thats what he needs, he will be running 3s Mystery's and that one has the right taps for sure.

The only problem with that charger is this:

Output: 0.75A

That is a VERY VERY low output. So unless you are charging a small RX pack, you will be waiting a LOOONG time for it to charge. I have one of these Venoms in my toolbox. Never used it....took it in trade.

It takes about 2 hours to charge the 1500mah 3s LiPo Mystery Packs so it's not to bad, and it keeps them balanced at the same time.

Would be great for charging RX or 1/18th scale batteries....but I run 2s 5000mah in even my Slash. I typically charge those at 5A and it takes a tad over an hour to charge and balance them when they are 75% empty.

That's darn near an overnight charge for the Venom charger ;-)

I got my Duratrax ICE Charger used locally for $45. I would seriously look at used chargers before dropping $30 on a slow charger UNLESS you just plan to charge small LIPOs with it. Even my RX Battery (2s 2200mah) would take like 3 hours to charge. Not too bad if you bash every once in awhile, but if you plan to run all day....you better keep a stash of batteries fully charged since charging in the field would be near impossible with the little Venom.

Again...not a bad charger...since yes it will work. Just have a lot of time on your hands, and since you really shouldn't even charge a LIPO unattended...be prepared to sit and watch "paint dry" ;-) Bring a good book maybe?

If you do decide you want one of the Venoms...let me know. I have one sitting in my toolbox. Give me $15 and I'll ship it to you ;-) I believe one of the LEDs is burnt out, but it does work perfectly.
