Alright well I finally got to get new ones, only because mine stock ones are now pretty much FUBAR.... My question is I ordered the GPM Alloy 4.75mm chassis. Does anyone else have this and what do you think about it. I am just curiuos if it is going to hold up to heavy bashing. Also I got them for like 48.00 and my LHS was telling me that new stock ones are 60.00..

The only GPM product that I have been happy with is the alloy brake hex adapter. I have their tank guard, and it has developed a mojar crack and no signs of serious dings. I think it just fatigued and broke. I don't know what to suggest about the TVP's, I hope they work out for ya, but I've heard that GPM doesn't have high grade alloys in their stuff.

The old axiom "you get what you paid for" tends to ring true. I have heard both good and bad things about GPM products. The goods....they look nice, and have a low price. The bads...poor construction and substandard material. Granted this is hearsay at best, but if enough people say bad things about a product, then there is bound to be some truth in it.

My suggestion to you is run them, abuse them, and see how they perform. If they brake easily, then you have learned a 50 dollar lesson. It will make you shop around a little more next time. If they do not break, then you have 50 dollars well spent...and can add to the short list of positive experiences I have heard about with respect to GPM.
