I was curious if adding aluminum chassis braces are helpfull in making the t-Maxx more durable or is it going to be just pretty and add weight making it slower, basicaly do the stock ones a weak point when really running it hard and catching some air. I was thinking of buying the aluminum ones but dont want to waste my money and If this is a good upgrade what is a good brand/price. I've been looking at the ones on ebay like these let me know what you think thanks.

off the top of my head I can't remember ever seeing any pictures or reading any complaints in this forum about those being weak or prone to breakage. Everthing for and aft of the bulkheads and the a-arms seem to take a majority of the abuse in most cases. I think most people (myself included) get them for bling factor. but I wouldn't completely count them out as being affective. They should help keep the chassis straight when your pouring on the torque.

Cool thanks for the info I think I might get a set someday like you said for the bling I already have alot of aluminum bling as it is hehe

Do not get integy aluminum braces. I had a set, and they broke in 2 jumps... Atomrcproducts.com carries some that they garuntee not to break. Check it out.

Honestly I got the traxxas ones and they were awesome for me. No need to go and buy anything else IMO.

Honestly if you have the stock chassis they help with chassis flex.

Chassis flex seemed to cause all kinds of problems for me including spur gear/clutchbell mesh problems. If I were to grab the head of my engine I could pull it backwards and change the mesh. It was because my chassis would bend just forward of the bulkheads.. after the braces were installed the felx was gone..

With an aftermarket chassis you might not have this problem.
