Ok for the new readers this post came from my thread about selling my Menace. But X_Gamer7 came up with the idea to make it into a buggy. So what I need is help. How should I go about doing this? I need your helps guys...

well, if you did that, you would have a 1 of a kind buggy (stadium truggy?) lol. I think it would be neat to see how it would perform against other regular buggys. I mean get some nice buggy shocks and maybe get a buggy shock tower (an modify it). I could imagine the peoples looks on their faces
"So what's everyone running today?"
"Storm GT"
"Ofna PCR"
"Inferno 7.5"
"X-Cellerator"
"Menace stadium truggy".
lol

"Thats funny right there, i dont care who you are"
Larry the cable guy

Bro, thats cool. Ok so I need some help with this project.
I never really built a buggy before so people lay it on me. Tell me what I need exactly for my new truggy.LOL
I like the truggy. So if I do this will I have the first truggy. Maybe we should patent this name "truggy" and start making them. Sounds good to me.

Hmmm what kind of wheel hexes does it have??? If they are similar to the HPI Nitro MT you can buy ofna rim adapters from www.wolfpackradicals.com he makes some kick ass parts. Check out Nitro MT than check out the ofna rim adapters and you should honestly be all set.

Ok, How exactly can I tell if they are like the HPI Nitro MT? I'm pretty new to building RC's. So I have no idea what I am doing, this will be my first project.

Well butch I looked around Schumacher's website and couldn't see anything like an open link for directions. You need to take a l look at how where you take off a wheel and behind it is a wheel hex most likely plastic or aluminum. Pull that off and see how it is. If it looks like the link provided than you might be in luck. You also might just email wolfgang at wolfpack radicals and ask him at that point if he would hook you up with a set. He takes paypal and if you ask him directly he will not charge you shipping. Good guy to buy from.

I am almost postive that is what it looks like. So what do i have to order. Just rim adapters? I need these so I could put the buggy tires on the truck, right? And mine are plastic, so I would go with the alloy. What else do I need? I am going to change all the plastic to alloy. But do i have to change the shocks?
Thanks for your help

Well you will need a wing for sure. You will need to probably get an alloy rear shock tower so you can mount a Wing assembly on it. Should get a buggy body for it. Should be a lot of fun for ya. Sounds like a good project. Take lots and lots of pics.

I'm already changing the shock towers to alloy. My brother has the OFNA 7 buggy, SO I'm pretty much going to copy his car.

hey again dbutch, that's cool you decided to go with the truggy conversion. Like newnitrofan said, make sure you take lots of pics, cause this is going to get interesting. If you have any problems, just ask and I'll try my best to answer them.

See the thing is i would sell it, but I love the speed of the truck. And I know I would regret it if I sell it. I'm thinking just to buy a buggy. But I'm leaning towards turing my menace into a buggy. I'm going to need lots og help on this one.

What tires/wheels are you going to run? One problem with going up to MT size tires is gearing. Dont make the mistake XTM made with the Mammoth - they just stuck big tires on a buggy and it is geared way too tall for any kind of racing or driving I know of. You will probably need to raise the center diff to get a big spur gear on it, like JT Racing does for buggy to truggy conversions:

your prob. right about that. You know if this ends up being more money to convert this to a buggy, I think I'm going to end up buying a buggy. and 30%NitroBoy i might take you up on your offer. How much are you willing to give me? I really didnt do much up grades. I have a hitec servo, and a boost bottle on it.
