Take a VERY thorough inventory. I once took over an electronics store and insisted on a total physical inventory of the stock. $30,000 in stock was missing after finding all the boxes on the bottom were empty. If I hadn't insisted on that type of inventory, I would have been held responsible down the line.

I walked out the door last night after i locked up and was talking to my wife and saw the opts manager sitting in the parking lot. I jumped off the phone with her and walked over and talked to him for about 10 mins and told him about the unbilled/hold ticket report and the $$$'s that was on hold and he about pissed himself....I told him that i would be getting a grip on that Friday and saturday and finding all this stuff.....He told me to get the manager involved and i told him i tried and he didnt seem to think there was a problem....guess whe the hero is now....ME haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
