Getting ready to head off to bed and just added another 2 pages onto my A Main wish list. As mentioned before, I've decided to skip the new mill for my GT2 and just go nuts on upgrades. Now for my question. CF or alum bottom plate? I was thinking CF since it's light weight and I race. However, I race both oval and track so I was thinking alum for durability. Which would you guys suggest? Thanks everyone.

Hi Griemar

CF seems to shatter/splinter on impact, so I would suggest alloy, you will be gaining an ounce or two in weight with alloy, but have better durability

For the abuse a bottom plate takes I'd go for alloy too, the wqeight difference is so small that the potential failure is not worth the risk.

Thanks everyone, I wasn't sure of the strength of the CF. That will actually help save an extra $20 also. Looks like I'm ordering the alum bottom plate :)
