How many guys out there are running a centre differential and separate front and rear braking. I've been running lately with a friend who owns a truggy, and after setting his up with him, testing and playing around I really liked the ability to change the bias on the front and rear brakes. I've noticed this especially on our home made track which is quite dusty. After a long high striaght into a tight corner I can either hammer the brakes and lock up all the wheels or roll them on and not be able to shake enough speed to cleanly make the corner.

Just wondering what parts I would need to drop it right in and run. I'm hoping only these two and I'd be good to go.

if its a 3.3 your golden. if not you need to replace the tranny case

I have the same challenge with my Revo 3,3 (5308) when entering corners at high speed so I have ordered the rear brakes and center diff.

I did install a sway bar kit and that helps a lot but I suppose with the center diff and rear brake it will make it even better. Hopefully I wont be entering those corners with my rear wheels in the air :whhooo:

I believe the conversion requires that you have a FWD only converted gearbox.

Cool I'm going to down to my LHS to order those later today. I have the 5308 without reverse so I'm good to go I guess. Thanks for the help

Hey, was thinking about getting this mod. Is it easy to fit or does it need serious dismantling? I thought i had read that an extended chasis was recomended, is this so?:D

if your doing this mod on a 3.3 Revo. its pretty much a drop in.

but if your doing it on a 2.5R model there will be a little cutting involved to move the tranny case back a little bit. i know there is directions on how to do this but i can't find them right now, but you can do a search for them and maybe you will have better luck than i did.

so you can do the Rear Brake/Center diff conversion to either a 3.3 or a 2.5R it will just take a little but of finessing with a dremel to get the tranny to fit the rear brake in the 2.5R

Sorry 4got to mention it was for my 3.3. jeje. Thanks for the advice. This forum is the bomb!!!

Well, there ya go. Direct replacement. not hard to do at all

after i did that to my revo i thought it was the best upgrade i ever made on it

and if you can get your hands on some sway bars that would help alot too.

good luck with your baby

I need a center diff and Rear brake, but for now i get to show how well i can drag the wing on the ground

I ordered the sway bar kit, rear brake and centre diff last friday at my LHS. Should be coming in sometime later this week. I'll be quick to let you know how much it helps!

go with the set of Tenko Sway bar kit. they work great.

actually for $100 you can get every revo option from Tenko. comes with all the conversions, sway bars Ect. check it out. I'm pretty sure its from RCPlanet.com if i remember correctly.

should keep your revo from going belly up all the time lol

And Bike. make sure you take some good pics of your revo after you get your conversion done. I'm telling you, you will never go back to the stock set up again. unless you got some kind of ridiculous motor or are doing a brushless conversion. but thats for another Thread. lol

let us know how it all works out!

GL to all
