I Have a centex clutch on a Picco .12 motor, my question is when adjusting the clutch nut in order the set the engaging point how much movement would be cosidered an ajustment, For example 1/4 turn or 1/8 or 1/2, either in or out to change the engaging point. Sorry for the long thread just kinda of hard to word. The problem i am having is that 1/2 turn in or out is either making it always engaged or really late is that normal?

shady - i dont know which one u are using, but - yes, that is normal. try to think of it like the HSN on your engine. a half turn is huge, right? stick with 1/16th turns to get it set, and 1/32 for fine tuning. u have a standard clutch type 2 speed, correct? same with that, even a 1/4 turn will make a huge difference.

Thanks Nitro, the problem i am having now is that i will set the clutch nut, then as soon as i start the motor i can actually watch the night spin tighter until it bottoms out, what is happening? This is my first time working on a centex and it is driving me crazy....

not sure which clutch u are using - but lemmi get this straight - when u set the clutch, the nut still spins freely? if so, u may need to shim it

The clutch i am using is the stock setup from the R40, how would i shim that? Sorry a little puzzled myself...

i have no knowledge on that clutch, and most others dont either. if u can't solve it by this weekend, my buddi has an R40, and he is racing with me on sunday. i will ask him. u can also PM here. his screen name is RacerX

Thanks Nitro your always a great help and superfast with the responses, let me know if your boy has any ideas.
