i got a center diff and rear brake kit for my revo
center diff box says it needs a specific trans case, but i looked in the exploded view on parts and it says that my revo 5308 already has that trans case and it also recommends a extrended chassis and again i look at the exploded view of chassis and it also says that the 5308 came factory with it..
anybody run into problems with installing center diff and rear brakes on the 5308?
gonna install tomorrow so any info would be great
thanks
jeff

My mate installed both to his 5308...
With no problems...
Your trans case is ok but not sure if the 5308 has the extended chassis..
But it does only recommend it.. Dont think its a must...

You should be fine

thanks stevo
all the part numbers run together , but it looks like i got the recommended chassis too....i hope so anyways
i will be doing the rebuild tonight hope all goes well :)

Keep us updated...
Are you running 3.3 or Big Block..??

The 5308 Revo should take it as a drop in, everything is compatible with the CD/rear brake kit, the chassis is the extended one. You'll be able to see where the rear brake assembly is mounted to the transmission case. I have the old style 3.3 and mine was compatible. I think the 5308s have the FOC, so you shouldn't have to do much other than drop in the CD.

everything went great, removed reverse and all the opti-drive stuff
got the diff in and while it was opened up i put the close ratio gear set in
changed the CB to a 14t and the spur to a 40t
but i could not stop there, t rebuild the shocks changed springs
put my ofna roto-start, swaybar system, wing mount w/wing, tires and wheels from my short wheel base chassis over to this one.
now i just need a new lid and its read to rock and roll.
i missed the first race of our points series but i'll have both trucks ready the the next one on the 25th:D
