3,000 weight in the front
7,000 to 10,000 weight in the middle
1,000 weight in the rear

I think I'm going to up the 1k to 2k and see what happens.

Thanks Chris. I'll run it as is for a while to get the gears lapped, then I'll dump them and put the right oil in them.

This buggy is lightyears better than the POS 4-Tec I got, but there's always something that the factory screws up.

You like that front diff to really onload huh C? I might see how that works. Do you get less pull from the front that way right.

My fronts dont really unload at all this way. I get a hair of pull but not much. Just on really loose surfaces.

Hot Bodies Lightning comes with diff oil. not grease.

Well, I hate to disagree, but I just opened the rear diff to change out the oil, and the diff has grease in it. A good ammount, but IMO and from reading and suggestions from the LHS guru, not nearly enough. Anyway, I'm gonna put in 5K/7K/3K. Also the RTR has spider gear diffs if anyone wants to know.

Whitt...

hehe. ok humboldt was right on that one. I guess you can chalk the stock diff oil in the Lightning Pro as yet another advantage when you buy the Pro version. :)

You really should have upgraded the gears while you were at it. :\
