CEN Nitro

Hay guys here's the thing i have a TR4-4WD and the CEN engine has not been used for a number of years and i had it running last night but today it's not running to good. It was ideling for 2 tanks and a little play with a third. I've still got it running rich and it was not too hot after playing with it.

Would i be doing any good taking it out and striping the hole engine down and cleaning it out?

If i was to clean the engine out what would i be using?

Last of all when i was younger and i got it the pull start snaped and i managed to hook a drill up to it. Now when i think about the way i'm starting I'm wondering if it could be damageing the engine with the drill? I have been thinking about buyying a new pull start but what price am i talk for a electronic pull start?

Tune it and drive it. If it will stay running, it will probably tune right in. Look at roto starts or tiger drives if your nervous about the way you are starting it. They both use drills to turn the engine over, but all the guts are contained in the starter cover. I think I know how you are starting it. I had a owb that fit a 9/16 socket. That's how I started my Duratrax nitro MT years ago.

Thanks for your reply mate. I've been watching a series of videos on YouTube some sock guy 9 parts someone on here posted part 8 or something anyways I have a better understanding of tuning now and shall give ita shot today and he said altering using he'd spry wd40 into the engine and carb so I did this yesterday and hopefully that's did it alot of good =D

I orderd a pull start last night only £12 ill also take a look at what you suggested. It's amzing what you can do with a hammer, a socket and a small bar lol =D
