Has anyone out there got a Cen Genisis? or am I the only one? I love the genisis and reckon its a good R/C package (even though I changed the engine to a Thunder Tiger...).

Its been the first car i purchased and has been a bloody steep learning curbe as no-one else i know has a nitro r/c so i have had to self teach myself everything i know!

I can never seem to find any talk of them on these forums and certainly do not know anyone else who has one.

Let me know if ya got one! I wanna learn more about this awesum truck!:ahh:

i love cen and there whole line of rc. i think they make a great quality product. i have seen many and even takin a stock nemisis around the track. i love them. there super tough and really reliable. the only reason i dont have one, or many, is couse of the avalability of parts. i dont know of ANY hobby shop that stocks them, so all of my parts would have to be mail ordered.. wich I'm not a fan of. I'm sure if they were common like like traxxas or hpi, more folks would have them due to there high quality and durability.. YOU GOT TO THROW SOME PICS UP!!!!!

I have a Genesis, a Nemesis, a TR Arena and just got a GSR 50. Not to mention my Savage thats half CEN, and my trusty little CEN ME16mt thats got the Traxxas Velineon brushless system in it.
CEN all round is one of the toughest brand of RC cars and truck out there.

hey i just purchased the CEN GST 7.7 online and I'm waiting for it to arrive from the states ($300 cheaper from there http://www.rcplanet.com/Cen_GST_7_7_Monster_Truck_p/ceg9508.htm ). I started off with a relatively unknown brand called a HSP Rattlesnake with a .27 infinity engine which i am very happy with. I seen the GST 7.7 on youtube and after reading a few reviews on them i had to get one. I just hope they are as good as i've read them to be.

They're good on dirt, but with the centre diff they are nearly impossible on bitumen or concrete. They torque steer badly, but they are a lot of fun...
You may need to be prepared to adjust the tranny big time, cause they dont always change properly from the factory.....

remove the engine and the clutchbell. Both pinion gears screw off. They are hardened steel... curious as to how you stripped one. The only time I've seen that happening is when someone puts the gears back in the wrong positions.

well i was being a rookie and did a lil back flip with no body it tourqed the motor and it striped the gear. but i ordered one from r/c planet and i just upgraded the entire suspention wow kinda costly but good parts

my lhs has a used cen I'm not sure what kind its the first I ever even herd of cen. Man what a truck! its only had a half gal of petro ran threw it, 5 hp motor, some kinda digital receiver. the owner is selling it for 5 bills is this a good or average deal? I have a brand new revo that he said he could sell for me. I would like to do that but it so easy to get parts for revos. what should I do? is this one of those deals you can't give up? O yeah its a 1/8 scale truck and its just dowm right sick looking!

I have a GST 7.7 and its an awesome truck but I wouldn't recommend it for beginners. It was a nightmare getting mine started for the first time as it was set waaaay too rich from the factory.

Everything on the truck is built for a beating though. The only real downsides to it imho is that it doesn't turn incredibly well ( don't do the 4ws kit either, its awful ), and that you need to shell out some cash to what I consider must-have upgrades like a 5-cell battery pack, fail-safe, and LOTS of FUEL.

How is everones cen going ? I got mine back again !(GST 7.7) Been having dramas with a grub screw not staying in so they used red locktite this time, hopefully it stays ! taking it sunday for a bash fingers crossed !!

I was trying to get mine shifting right last weekend but the exhaust gasket started leaking badly. I'm going to make a mold at work this week so I can make my own gasket out of high temp silicone.

Got a nice pic of my CEN airborne, along with some friends and their buggy's.

This wasn't a big jump but was taking it easy and face it, the car weighs about 8kg! lol

This is mainly for Bretty! (His Colt, it's a bullet!)

And Trav's 1/8 buggy. (Not sure what it is, ugly but goes like a rocket!)
