Hey gang. I just purchased and installed a new CEN G70321 pipe on my savage. First thing I noticed was that is was very much quieter than the stock pipe. This is what I was after. Still sounds very cool. Anyone have any opinions on this pipe? It was an impulse purchase and I may have been in a position where I had more money than sense (Rare). I had to lean the motor out about 3/8 of a turn to get the truck to run right. I havent really noticed any huge increases in power. It looks nice and it it much quieter but as of yet that is all I have observed. Should it be normal to have to lean out a motor after installing a new pipe? I'm new to nitro and have lots to learn. The motor is the stock mill and break in has been completed. Thanks for the all the help.

Sounds like you found a good pipe. Let us know how it is running a month or so from now. CEN has been known to give people problems.

As for your question,

All I can say for certain is that you will need to retune your engine after installing a new pipe. Whether you need to go lean or rich from where you were is entirely up to the engine, the new pipe and you.

Please let us know how you do with that Pipe... I bought it and installed it to my CEN mt2, but it was running way too hot... But very silent...

I am planning to buy the Savage .21 with the hyper 8 port to get a better top speed...

When you get the Savage, you will need to get a better gearing set up to maximize that top speed. The stock gearing is the limiter on the 8 port (the engine has way more RPMs than the gearing can use). If you get a better clutch bell and spur gear, you should be able to get the most out of the engine.

I'm still trying to figure out what the best combo should be. If and when I figure it out, I'll post it.
