i run the stock down pipe, and have the cone in there. I went to the hobby shop and bought some small flex rod and made a mount for it. Your savage will come to life now.

I also bought the CEN pipe, I anticipated having to remove the baffle, when I opened it up there was no cone inside of mine. I installed it and have it hooked up to my stock header on the k5.9 on my xl but have not got to run it yet.

i ran mine with the baffle in and it seemed very quiet,,and didnt notice any performance increase,, so i took the cone out and ran it and was much louder,,
and seemed to have more power,,and ran cooler,,so i think ill just leave it out for sure,, thanks for the info,,

Leave it out! Louder is better. It should also increase your hp slightly. Neighbors like it
loud.
