carbonfiber flames

i was thinking of doing a purple body with carbonfiber flames
how hard do ya think it would be to do the flames??

i wanted to expiriment and try to paint them i was just checking to see how hard u guys would think its goin to be

It depends on what part of the body the flames are on. Also what color you're planning on painting them. If you're going to use the non-slip mat method of painting the CF, it's easiest to do it on flatter parts of the body. The mat doesn't work all that well on complex curves unless you tack it down. Usually you can use a spray adhesive very lightly to hold it. But I don't know if that will affect the following coat.
If you have the flame area adequately masked off, it really should be too much of a problem otherwise.

The general rule of thumb is to paint the darker colors first. So you may have to reverse mask the flames and paint them first. Then unmask the body to paint the lighter colors.

yeah whatever you do, do the black first i recently did a bowling ball or granite scheme and did the purple first sprayed black second and ended with a black body
if u do decide to do purple first back it with silver then the black wont affect it to much
