does any one know what size carb the dtx.18 has couse i want to put a motor saver air filter on it and i dont know what size to get

11mm, I picked up a 10mm by mistake and had a h3ll of a time trying to get it on.

Measure the ID of the intake tube on the filter that came with it or the OD of the carb.
Match it up as close as you can to the Motor saver sizes available

Hession420, I noticed there is a new post about the motor saver filters having a design flaw. Don't be discouraged by it because they are talking about the ones for 1/8 scale buggies, and they have a different design than the ones for 1/10 trucks. I have been using them ever since I started racing and haven't had any problems with them and no sign of any dirt or dust getting past the filter.

I run in the 1/10 nitro truck Off Road with a Losi XXX-NT Drake1 with OS .12 CV-R. We just did a track change last week and I was out doing test runs with it. The track was powder dry and I dusted everything pretty good. After getting home I blew the dust off, took the filter off to see how dirty the foam was. After inspecting it closely, no dirt got past the foam but it was pretty nasty. Dropped the foam into an old pill bottle with K&N Filter Cleaner to soak for about 20 minutes. Then washed it out in hot water, squeezed it dry in a towel. Then applied a heavy coat of K&N Filter Oil and squeezed out the excess in a paper towel. Cleaned the Motor Saver and dropped the foam back in and ran it Saturday at the races. No problems at all with it.
