I just put a brand new carb on my 3.3 and have an issue. If the idle gap is set correctly or even a bit high the slide will stick. It doesn't close all the way when I return to idle unless I give it a little push and sticks when pulled open. Giving me an issue because I can't get it to idle without dieing anyway.

Are you using a throttle return spring??? You should be if not...

Sticking throttle valves are most often related to linkage adjustment and/or the angle of the carb in the block relative to the angle of the linkage.

I am using one and the alignment is perfect...switched the boot to my old carb and threw it on, works perfect. The slide sticks pretty bad even by hand...totally off the truck.

Still can't get it to idle with anything less than a 2-3 mm gap though :/

Edit: just pulled it apart and with the lsn at factory setting or on the lean side the needle tip sticks in the seat/outlet
