Ok i recently took my engine off to seal some spots and one of the parts i have to take off to get the engine off is the throttle. well when i took off the nut that holds the throttle to the carb i did not look at its placement. so now i have the engine back in place and the nut back on but now it will not idle for crap. i have tried adjusting it several times but each time i either get it idling extremely too high or too low where i can't hit the brakes. i will get pics on later to help show what I'm talking about. and oh btw i have tried adjusting the throttle trim also and that didnt help. Is there any trick on how to know where to put it or do i have to just keep tinkering with it? thanks in advanced

i know about the whole gap thing and holding the brakes and all of that but its hard to do that when you have to loosen the nut move a little then tighten it back up and then crank it up and hope its in the right spot lol i was just curious if there was a certain way to tell if its in the right spot

So your talkin about the idle needle? If so just take the air filter off and loosen/tighten it till theirs just a small gap in the carb.

sometimes there it a spring on the throttle linkage that is held on my a stopper. on mine, i had to move the stopper up, thus compressing the spring, to get it to idle properly when i let of the gas or brake
