At WOT my carb linkage is hitting the nut on the spur gear?? whats the deal?? theres nothing broke or anything!

The little linkage piece, on the LSN where the linkage is attached their is a small screw on one side, just loosen it and move the linkage up a bit till it clears the nut.

I had the same prob... Did you install a smaller clutch bell or spur gear? There is a little set screw in the oposite side of the ball part of the arm... if that makes any sense.. when you loosen that screw, the arm can pivot and then you tighen it down where you want it..

ok, how the hell do you get to it without taking the whole motor and stuff off? LOL

I've seen this happen to others. We were trying to figure out why it would go WOT without warning, and couldn't find the problem with the engine off. Finally, while holding the car and running it we saw the end of the linkage hit the nut and get yanked open. It only happened when it was under power and there was enough chassis flex to get it close enough to hit the spur nut. You need to loosen the carb and turn it slightly away from the nut, then re-adjust the linkage.

Oh yeah, right.....like YOU would ever have something useful to add. LMAO

By the way, in your sig line you also need 'measure twice'.
