I just installed a new motor ( OS max-12TZ )
into a R40. I've rotated the carb so the throttle linkage
works without binding, yada, yada... But I'm concerned that
the fuel intake line is too close to the cooling head, when I put on
the air filter it pushes the fuel line even closer, almost touching.
Should I be worried ? Is there a way of rotating the fuel intake
nipple ( he said nipple ) to the other side ?

loosen the banjo fitting and turn the fitting so the nipple is pointed to the front of the carb ...

Yeah, do what Zandor said. Just do not use pliers to do it!!! Use a socket that fits it.

Is the Banjo fitting the silver part just bellow the brass HSN ?
If so do I just turn the silver part counter-clock-wise and that will
loosen the fuel intake nipple ?

wait.. the silver part is the fuel intake portion... do I rotate the brass part?

Never mind--- I figured it out... Thanks guys...

I've always used needle nose pliers and a VERY loose grip with verrrry light pressure (just enough to snug it). Make sure its' clean beforehand, of course.
