I have painted several Truck bodies for my Savage and want to do a Car body. Has any on tried fitting the PTI 200mm '05 Mustang Cobra Body on a Savage. I have seen the Cuda and the El Camino for the Savage but want something different. Will the 200mm bodies fit the Savage?

Thanks,

Brian

Don't listen to the world... They don't listen to you!!

They sort of fit. I fit a Saleen S7R on a savage. The only problem I had was clearing the engine, I had to cut our a pretty bif hole for it. But If you got a taller body then there would be less of a problem. The first time I flippdd it I ripped off the spoiler thogh...good luck and show pics when you are done.

Spoiler?

Do you have to install the spoiler? I guess the better question is if you don't install the spoiler, is it noticable where it should mount? I haven't received the body yet but tower says they shipped it.

Pics will be posted when finished.

Thanks,

Brian

You don't have to, but I think it looked cooler with it. On most HPI Bodies it is noticable where it should be but I don't know about the one you are getting. From the pic on tower it doesn't look it, but I don't know for sure. If it is noticable I don't think it'd be that big of a deal.

if you do get that body fitted, i would love to see pics. the mustangs are the sickest cars. especially the 67s and 68s.

68 Mustang

I would love to find a 68 coupe body. I have a Feb 68 coupe with a 289 automatic. All stock in Acapulco Blue.

:)

A friend of mine stuck his 280mm Porsche body from his HPI Super Nitro on his savage after his young son placed it on trying to help out daddy. It looked good so he reamed out the new mounting holes.

The 280mm body made the body look better by allowing the rubber to fit the wheel openings better, after trimming.

If you get that done, be sure to post up some pics, I would definiately be up for doing that it it works fine.
