Last used my truck a week ago and it was working fine. Yesterday i decided to give it a good thrash on a local track but could not get it too idle at all, turned the idle up to comp and tried to run it, got about 20 yards and it died, tried about 5 times with the same result. Changed plug and opened new can of fuel, still did the same so i stripped the carb and replaced the old fuel pipes but there was no change. Made the lsn richer by 3 full turns and the hsn by 1 1/2 and it seems to be ok now but can anyone explain why such a large re-tune was needed after being stood for only a week. My truck has always been good at holding a tune until now.

There can be a ton of reasons for that. The most typical culprit is the weather. Changes in environmental temperature, barometric pressure and humidity can really change the air/fuel mix in the engine. So as the weather changes even a little, big changes are sometimes needed in your settings.
Also don't look past other things. Air filter clean? Disassemble and clean the carb. Including the banjo fitting and fuel inlets. New plug. Clean the crank case. New fuel line and pressure line. Do you run a fuel filter? Check and see if it's clogging. This is all I can think of right now, but I'm sure there's more.

Yes i do run a filter and its clear. Changed all the pipes and the plug also stripped the carb. Weather conditions are the same as when i last used it, damn hot. Had this truck for a while now and this is the first time i have had to mess with the settings since break in, its always started in the first few pulls and kept up with my mates .25 with no trouble. Not too worried at this point cus i have a Picco .26 on order and should be here any day now. Yippee. Thanks for the help pal.
