Hi could some one help, I have one suggestion of heating the head with a hair dryer, does anyone else have another.

PROBLEM A little off the subject but I need help please.
I have a problem with tmaxx 3.3 . I have a brand new truck that has not been started yet. I hook the ez start up and it starts to move the motor but won't, then stops trying completely. I bought a new battery and that does the same thing. I also losend the glow plug to release the pressure and nothing. also each time I turn the flywheel a little by hand and use the ez start it turns alittle then stops. I have to keep moving the flywheel for it to do anything. Is anyone out here I want to get this started. It is the second one in a row. I just took the other one back it wouldn't start (atleast it turned over) Signed " no luck lately"

Try a few things.....take the engineout of the truck and put a bunch of aro or wd40 into the engine and turn it over a few times by hand.

next put it back in the truck and heat it with the hair dryer, it would be even better if yo uhad a heat gun. Once you have it nice and hot (approx. 200*) then WITHOUT THE GLOWPLUG try to turn it over with the ez start. Once you get it to turn over without the glowplug, quickly put the plug in (keep it loose) and try to start it.

not easily....if you are trying to use the E-Z starter, try getting some high capacity batteries vs. the stock pack it came w/......that pack will work for the truck after it's broken in...but you might need a lil more juice to crank it at first....have any friends that race elec touring cars?? they should have a pack to use for a few tanks....IF you can get the pack you can dump the ARO down the glowplug hole and leave the plug out see if the starter will turn it over then......try doing that w/o the glow plug in the hole w/ your pack too...might turn it over in the truck....

OK I heated with a heat gun then loosened the plug, I get the motor to turn over then with no problem,as soon as tighten the plug no go. Iguess I need to find another battery pack

i normally just keep tapping the starter. Put it all back together, prime the motor, and hold down the starter for 5-8 seconds. then just bump it (1-2 sec bumps) until it starts. works for me

thanks guys got that now I broke a steering part ....off to the lhs thanks again

sorry i just have to ask, you have a brand new tmaxx & on the very first tank of break-in a steering part broke?

I'm hoping that you broke it in, although, i dont think you could in a half hour... LOL

Makes you wonder right....I couldn't wait to get to the park only a block away where there is oh....about 3 acres of parking lot, but Mr excited wants to go in front of his house in the street to run a tank....what happens then....I hit the curb (actually not very hard and broke the plastic pivot piece for the steering (not sure on the name...I just took it and ran to put it on. I got it on then went to the park and got through almost three tanks for the breakin and ran out of time so I will contiue tomorrow. I knew I should have bought a revo. I hope you all got a kick out of this ....thats OK ....stay tuned there will probably be more to come. Thanks for the info though, it let me get it started and got a driving lesson that only cost 5 bucks.
