Hey guys

I had to replace a wheel because of a stripped hub, and so today i went and got myself a new rim and tire/foam.

I got the tire glued (perfectly i might add), and so i took it for a test spin, and i noticed the wheel i replaced is wobbling.

So far i've cancelled out the possibility of the rim's shape being bad or warped, because i messed up the gluing on the first wheel when i was gluing it, the one i got perfect was the second of the pair. And i tested it out with the other poorly glued wheel, and it still wobbled.

It's not a huge amount of wobbling, but it's enough that i would be concerned about it causing stress in the wheel, and me ending up with another stripped hub.

So i'm wondering what u guys thing might be the problem.

Thanks

Monster truck tires wobble, not much you can do about it. Just make sure your wheel bearings are good and your axles are not bent.
The only 14mm hex wheel that does not strip or break are the RPM brand. The rest will strip easily. Don't be afraid to tighten the wheel nuts down good. Loose wheel nuts are the #1 cause of stripped wheel hexes.

is it the rim or tire thats out? you might just need to work the foam a little so it's concentric.

my wheels we're wobling once and i took off up the road and it flew off and my revo spun out of control and almost got hit by a truck i got lucky it was jacked up and went between the wheels

Wobbling a lot? Hae you tried balancing the rim with clay? I have read racers balancing them with kids crayola clay or something. Same effect when you balance your 1:1 tires.

Check to see how much pull you have, like if you can pull the wheel out a little from the arm. If so you could have a pulled bearing. That has happen to me once or twice. It give the wheel more play, thus giving it more room to wobble!

Still waiting to hear if you've put it on other corners of the car yet. There are lots of things you can do for the tire, foam or rim, but none of those will help until you eliminate the possibility of a problem with the axle.
