Well mine can't but it tryed and now the radio dont work but i can get the motor started with no prob. Is it ok if water comes out the pipe?
How do i fix? It was all the way in the water(my pool is a salt system is this worse?

yes its horrible, was the engine running when it fell into the pool? If it was, then rebuid the engine, the salt is seizing the engine as we speak and corroding the piston away. Strip the max apart and replace electronics, servos, wash down with fresh water, and then spray with WD-40 on the screws, nuts, bolts ect....

also forgot to ask, why the hell would anyone want a salt water pool? Just wondering.......

I think the better question is how did your Maxx get into the pool?

You might be able to get away with letting the electronics air dry for a day or two and they might come back to life. If not you can pick up the stock electronic system on eBay or upgrade it.

You might be able to save the engine if you take it apart and put a whole bunch of after run oil everywhere...but that's a big maybe...

It was running and the pool is easer to maintane. All you have to do is buy a big bag of salt(40lb.) and put it in. That should last about 1/2 a year. Oh and btw i just got it to run good!

come to think of it, a few year backs I had a Nikko electric buggy, and I ran it into a friends pool, but got it out in under 10 seconds, ran for a while but then died

the pool is easier to maintain? yea but salt water in a swimming pool? thats odd, get in your eyes ouch. and that un beliveble you got you maxx to run "good", how long was it in the water for?

Well i was going after my dog and the breaks dont work(i did not put it back on) than all i here is splah!!! then i stop and yell nooooooooooo and then oops. After that i ran to get it(it was at the bottom 3ft.?) Well to bad i will just get a new motor witch should i get? The old one was a 2.5.

Well only if i had thought of that!!!!!!
30sec. give or take 5sec.

no the water is so diluted it does not "ouch". It kind of makes it better on your eyes but it does tast a little.

Well, it can swim-Just be patient with teaching it and it will eventually give in. After that its only time when he'll get outta the pool. Then you can take him to the beach!

a point on salt pools..i sold em for 8 years...usually you get an ionizer with it and the salinity of the water helps disperse the ions..in effect making it impossible for algae to grow. usually people run small amounts of chemical with it.

The salt is usually not enough to taste so its not like swimming in the ocean.

i dont know what system you are running but that is how I saw them work...its not a very popular way to maintain a pool because it steps up the corrosion on the metal parts.

whew finally found a post i could help with.:contract:
