ok i am breaking in my picco .26 and my parents told me to stop becuase it was getting dark out and i have half of tank of gas left. is it ok to leave it in there becuase i dont want to waste gas. can this hurt my new baby engine? :ponder:

i was told that gas in the tank can get contaminated and to always empty the tank. so i empty it and then run it dry before i give it a shot of ARO

run it dry!!! that can damage a engine right?? i heard never do that!!

well what are you really doing when you pinch the fuel line to kill the engine? starving it of fuel and running it dry. it leans out and revs up then it just stops. I've never had any problems with it though.

sure you can leave fuel in the tank it wont hurt anything just make sure when you put it away to make sure the piston is at BDC expecially since your breaking in the engine

Also i run my tank dry all the time and I've had no problems

Don't worry about it. it is usually good to empty it if you let it sit for more than a week but i usually don't even do that.(i'm lazy:classic: )

I've always left gas in my tank. I never really even thought about it. Of course I rip around with my truck nearly every day, but still It dont matter to me if its full or empty.

sweet thanks guys, well iam done with my first tank of gas two more too go for the heat cycling and then i start running it around :radio:

It might hurt it because nitro draws water out of the air , which can get into the carb and into the motor and can cause rust . just to be on the safe side just dump it out . New fuel is better then old fuel. :radio:

No it will not hurt to leave nitro in the tank over night. The fuel will still be good and I would still use it.

I've left gas in the engine for months with no problems but I surely wouldn't reco it, overnight or even a week+ is no freaking biggie. For long term strorage I would definitely use an AR oil.

Wont hurt to leave it...
I do it all the time. I dont run every day. once a week, and leave the gas in the tank.
