i just got a t-maxx I've ran it in and now I'm having trouble trying to tune it, i took it the shop the bloke there tuned it now it's worse, It keeps stalling and there are no wheelies on acceleration can anybody please help me i would be very greatful.

Did you follow break in instrustions?

Sounds like its really rich. When I first started driving my 2.5 rock I was drivin rich and I wasn't poping wheelies

how about the stalling can you help me with that, it will tickover just fine but when i do a high speed run and break the car stalls every time.

If it is stalling when you hit the brake make sure the carb is not closing completely and choking off the engine. Take off your air filter and look in the carb, make sure when you brake there is still a tiny opening, make sure it does not completely close. If it does turn your idle screw clockwise until you have about a 1.5mm opening. I like to adjust my idle with the throttle/brake trim turned all the way to brake, this way you know when you brake you will not close it off completely. Will it sit and idle properly if you hold the brake on?

Ok, thats good.

How does it take off the line?

Does it only stall after a wot run?

Do you have a nice stream of smoke from the exhaust while accelerating?

Do you have a temp gun? This is a tool I think no RCer should be without. Radio shack sells one that uses a Raytek pc board usually around $39, but they often run them on sale for $29.

Also try different glow plugs, most likely a hotter glow plug might help. Just a thought.

how about starting the car mine takes ages to start when it's hot, but when it's cool it fire's up straight away.

the car starts chucking along on acceleration.

It honestly sounds like you are running too lean to me. If it cuts out after a wot run, and it is impossible to start after it stalls, or until it cools off, it sounds as though the fuel is vaporizing as it hits the carb before it gets in the engine. Try richening the HSN a little bit and see if that helps.

You never answered my other questions........

use the water test, drop a drop of water on the heatsink, if it sits there, too cold, if it dissolves in 2-3 seconds GREAT and if it explodes off, too hott. :p

I've just been outside with it it dont stall anymore I've been fidling with the highspeed needle but i just can't get it to wheelie and I've been fidling with the lowspeed needle too.

Only adjust one needle at a time, look for any performance gains or losses, then adjust it accordingly. This way you wont adjust one needle the right way and the other the wrong way, leaving you wondering what to adjust next, and what the hell is wrong. It makes correcting a bad adjustment much easier, just return the needle back to where it was. Make your adjustments in tiny increments, no more than 1/16 of a turn at a time.

How many tanks have you run through the engine?
