What are the advantages and disadvantages of setting up with a - degree camber
 
Golly...this is hard to explian without pictures but, as you prolly know, camber refers to the angle of a wheel on it's vertical axis.
So, if you're wheels are set like this /---- (viewed from the front) you're set with neg camber.
If you're set like this ----/ you're set with pos camber.
Like this I----I you're at 0° camber
Now when a vehicle gets thrown into a corner, there is a certain amount of deflection in suspension components from the frame of the chassis all the way down to the ground. The tire even takes the attitude of rolling it's self off of the rim. (You can probably grab the RC vehicle by the top of the chassis and put sidewards force on it, not allowing the chassis to roll. You'll see what goes on with the suspension/tires.) As it rolls, with a 0° camber setup I----I the contact patch of the tire will begin to move to the outside corner. With pos camber the contact patch is already to the outside corner of the tire and it just continues to move further out. With neg camber /---- the contact patch moves to the center of the tire. This is ideal for maximum traction. You may ask, well why have the patch to the inside corner when your driving straight? Well if you're driving straight, cornering traction isn't really an issue.:D

I just wanted to add that adjusting camber does have an affect on the other geometrical aspects of alignment but, that's another can of worms.
