am i the only one that dosn't like this.a lot of the new bodies for savage and t maxx have bumpers on them as if the two on the trucks are not enough .i dont like that look.

Come on. Just having a little fun, don't you have a sense of humor? Anyway what difference does it make if a body is made with the bumpers on it, or if you use the top side of the bumper as your cut line and remove them when cutting out the body. The result is the same thing. You have to cut it out anyway.

man i was :jk: i just dont know why they put a bumper on a body when the truck has one .if you cut it out it looks like ass. kinda like you cut the bumper out.

Yeah I'm not certain if I like them or not either. I'm STILL sitting on this El Camino body for 2 reasons.

1. Those bumpers would rip right off on the first impact.
2. The blower will rip right off on the first impact.

:(

i ordered the new bronco body today. i'm not quite sure how to paint it (and it looks like from the pictures it doesn't have any bumpers!!). i don't know if i'll paint it myself or get somebody to do it for me.

I have the Bronco body. It has no front bumper but there is a rear. The rear isn't that noticable though. I went with a fairly simple paint job. The hood, roof and fender flares are black, the rollbar is silver and the main body is white. I also taped off the front section where the grill and headligh decals go and made this silver, this created the effect of a chrome grill at the clear cross sections of the grill decal and around headlights. I think there was actually a mask for this section. I don't own an airbrush and have to make to with cans. Detailing was done with multi-color XXX-Main flame decals (one on each door, two small on hood scoop, two larger on roof with a "SAVAGE" decal at the begining of the flames so it appears the lettering is burning. Other than these I used some of the decals that came with the body and some Parma racing sponser decals. I tried to balance things out as to not overload the body with stickers. I think it turned out nice. If I was to do it again I would decrease the size of the rear cutout a little at the bottom to support the body better. I cut it along the factory lines but the bottom of the opening doesn't leave much in front of the body clips. Also, check you antenna hole position before making the hole. You may want it forward or rear of the factory dimple? Overall, the Bronco body is cool! The size is perfect to make the Savage look even larger.

show me some pics. i want to see how this thing looks on the savage. and i want to see your paint job.

I posted the pics in my member gallery if you wish to check them out. Let me know what you think. Bare in mind it has had several rolls so there are a few scratches but that ads character....:wtf:

not bad it is huge.this is the first paint job i ever did hope i get better on the bronco.

Looks cool but I'd be affraid to run with it on. Somebody good with an airbrush and save up your pennies, you'll need a lot of them to pay for it.

Larry, was the blower already attached like it is with the Elcamino? Did you have to remove it? I like it much better without the blower. Looks really good man!
