I was going over the rules last night and i noticed that reverse is not to be used. THen i went to buytraxxas.com and found a foward only shaft and gear, now will removing the reverse increase the performance of the trans and truck itself and will the foward only shaft ang gear still retain the 2 speed? Third, what spur gear should be run to have good low to mid range power, i assume because I'm going to be racing on a smaller size offraod track with no real spot to really hit it WOT. and already under the impression that i should switch to MIP CVD's Front center and rear.

any input is very helpful!!

i forgot to ask: If I remove reverse from the trans altogether than can I remove the reverse servo and use the 2 channel remote from my Jato (swapping to the t-maxx crystal) and a 2 channel style receiver like the one in my jato due to the fact i olny need 2 servos?

the main reason i ask is because the stock t-maxx receiver is shot and i need to get a new one so it would help to know if i should get a new traxxas 2 or 3 channel receiver.

thanks again joe

The FOC will allow you to ditch the extra servo and linkage. FOC also lightens up the trans internals so yes, you will see more performance, smoother starts.

Go up a bit in your spur. I think a 65 through 72 is what most racers use, with stock CB. I forget now because the Revo you go to a 16/40 mostly, but Maxx is different.
