I just finished putting my savage back together after doing several mods. One of the mods that i did was the buggy shock setup. I am using the New Era arms and the stock shock towers.

The problem is that the buggy shocks bottom out pretty easily. The chassis does not get that close to the ground before the shocks run out of travel. My concern is that comming down from a hard landing will cause damage to the shock.I know that i can put stiffer springs and thicker oil, but that will not fix the limited amount of travel these shocks have. I have also noticed that the shocks are partially compressed even at max ride height.

So what i want to know is will different shock towers (taller) fix my travel problem, and which springs and oil weight should i use. Thanks

I don't know how to fix the flex problem but people use the buggy shock set for racing from what i've heard. This set up was not meant for jumps and hard impacts. Anyone please correct me if I am wrong.

I think you should PM Skymaxx about the buggy shocks I know that he runs them on his truck I am sure he can help you!
