Looking forward to the Bud ShootOut tonight..All I can say is let the cheating begin...This goes out to Jet...

I think the guy with the fastest car is gonna win.

not always true.

DJ looked pretty weak right outta the gate. I was hoping he could hang at least for a little bit. vickers didn't look too bad till he got shuffled. I think he might be able to hang though. Somebody please don't let Tony win...

I missed the racing but I just watched a few clips on Nascar.com...Looks like Jr still doesn't know how to draft without causing a wreck LOL

Yeah, but at least he copped to it afterwards.
Looks like Gordon started the season right where he left off. "Hey, what's this button for? Oooooops!"
Good show, though. Hopefully the 500 will be that good.

Actually the Hendrick cars have a light that shows when the kill switch is depressed and Gordon said the light was not on..So they had bigger problems than the kill switch..All in all it was an exciting race...

Just playin' bro :) Hey, I'm not gonna let Jet have all the fun, hehehe.

No problem man.I just felt like whining some more..

These races don't meas squat! Gordon will get it right when it counts!

Also I'm predicting Greg Biffle to have a top 5 year!

Jr's Done.... He will not win a race, make the chase, or even be competititve this year. His head is not in the game. There is to much going on over his contract negotiations as well as his future. I was hoping he would be able to pick up where his dad left off, but after 6 seasons in Cup.... he just aint got it. I had to admit it.... I am a diehard Jr fan, but after his lack luster performance in the Shootout, and his terrible qualifing run, he is done before the year even starts.

Holy crap, Tom, you need a day off! Don't sweat Jr's performance. I think he looked good Saturday. At least until he barged into Sadler. There was a lot of crappy qualifying yesterday. Teams were all over the map. But that all goes out the window on Thursday. And remember, the chassis Jr is driving spent most of last season near the front. Don't count him out. I think he's got more character than that.

You are probably right... I do need a day off. LOL I hear what you are saying... DEI may not have the fastest cars any more, but they do handle well in the draft, which is what is important in plate racing. I guess I just had high hopes going into the shootout. I got disapointed is all I guess. I am just not used to Jr making bonehead moves like bump drafting in the turns. You are right it is early and Thursday is a whole new ball game.

Tom

Teresa Earnhardt needs to just sit back and count the money and step away, she is the biggest problem DEI and Little E have right now. I could never figure how someone that sounds like they have a 2nd grade education when they speak could run a successful business. She would get the Dee Duh Dee award for sure in public speaking.

For sure. Teresa, like you said needs to just step back and handle the Business side of DEI and leave the competition side to someone else. Teresa is a smart business woman, but not very savy when it comes to building a successful race team. I think Jr walks after this year and takes Budweiser with him. Teresa will never give up 51% of DEI, and it does not sound as if Jr. will take anything less. Maybe he goes to RCR, maybe to Gibbs, only time will tell. I just hope the shootout is not a sign of things to come. Hopefully the fire is still in Jr. to win, and his mind is focused on racing and not his contract. He just needs to realize he is in the drivers seat and no matter where he goes he will be successful. The Budweiser #3 has a nice ring to it.

Don't give up Tom, it's ok to hear a hater (like me) say these things but it sucks to hear a Jr fan say it. It's like hearing markallen say JJ cheats...It just ain't right.

Well, sounds like JJ isn't the only one trying to slip one by NASCAR! Seems Kasey Khane and Matt Kenseth are in a bit of hot water, not to mention Michael Waltrip and his new Toyota! The one blurb I caught about Michael is that they THINK there was Sterno in his manifold. The other two had issues with their aerodynamic set-up.

Interesting way to start the season, huh?
