Hey guys,
I have been looking to upgrade my wraith to a brushless set up.

I really dont want to spend a ton like getting the MMP and Tekin Pro 4 motor. I've seen some guys run the Castle Sv2 ESC but what motor? I know i need a Sensored motor so i can crawl with it. What do you suggest? Please try to keep it not TOO expensive!! (;

Also what is this I am reading about a reverse motor?
 
Might be wrong but pretty sure the Sv2 isnt a sensored esc, its just like any other sidewinder.
 
Honestly I'm pretty sure in this case, you might just have to fork over some good money to get what you want.
I've seen alot of guys running castle esc and motor combo's but like you were worried about, I would think the cogging would be a problem until it was geared perfect. But I'm just not sure....I need to get a wraith I guess after all lol.
 
I run a Dynamite Fuze 5800kV sensorless on my SCX-10 and don't really have any cogging issues.
 
Also where can I find the mamba max pro SCT esc. I can't find it anywhere
 
Castle is in the process of releasing new versions of their ESCs, so that is part of the problem.
 
Oh. I guess I should probably wait then. Unless when the new ESCs come out the old ones will drop in price.
 
so the Goat 3s system is programable just like the castle esc's? and it will fit right in?
 
I have a Goat in my Losi Mini-Rock Crawler. It's really good for wheel speed even on 2s.
 
Sorry to revive this thread, but why does Novak get such a bad rep from some people? I'm really interested in the 3s system does anyone know about the top speed on a 2s Traxxas LiPo?

On my Mini Rock Crawler, the 2s version with the 17.5 Turn motor does about 7-8 mph and does not cog at all on a 2s LiPo.
