Well, I was running my newest RC, a Rustler, and I found my old Tmaxx. I brought it up and cleaned it up a bit. It hasn't been run for around 9 months, and there was fuel left in the tank. So, what would I do first with it, after cleaning it all up? I may try to start it as of now, and see what happens. (Most likely it won't start)

dont start it with that fuel in it it will ruin the engine first kleen the carb then drain the fuel and replace it the it should start right up K

Yeah, I planned on taking that fuel out. Thanks for the advice.

All you really need to do is dump the fuel. Put a little after run oil in it to lube it up good and then put fresh Nitro in and you should be golden.

I always take my exhaust and the carb off and rinse everything with fresh fuel. Including inside the head. Then reseal and use lock tight where needed and you know your golden.

good luck.. thats how i got my maxx... it was all gummed up like seriously badd. i mean that the carb was so gummed up it didn't move :-( but i washed EVERYTHING out with fresh fuel and let the bottom end soak in a cup of fuel for about an hour. all good so far.. and that was in october. and i've burned at least 1/2 gal thru it so far!

gumout

i washed EVERYTHING out with fresh fuel

i use gumout carb cleaner on all my stuff, you can buy it at the car part stores like checker, autozone, advance auto parts and places like that. the nice thing is it DOESN'T take away any paint.
