I have a broken throttle servo (see pic below). This is a link to a replacement I found from the site I bought my nitro truck from: https://www.nitrorcx.com/51c00-02073.html. However, I'm wondering if this one on Amazon would work: https://www.amazon.com/ANNIMOS-Digi...d=1&keywords=1/10+servo&qid=1589384281&sr=8-2

I can get it faster and it's cheaper since I don't pay extra for shipping. I compared the dimensions and most of them are very close or the same. The arm that screws into the top is the only piece that is probably too different but I figured I can put the old arm on the new servo unless the teeth on the gear don't match. Another diff I noticed is the broken one says 6 KG on it. The one on Amazon says 20 KG but I don't know if that matters. Can someone help explain if it matters which one I get?

I'm wondering do servos break easily and is there a way to repair them besides replacing the whole module? In my case, it's behavior is it does nothing when I run the throttle on the controller. I had another one from a different truck that I swapped it with and it worked, so that's how I knew the servo was broken. I'm also wondering what I could have done to cause it to break? I was jumping the truck so maybe the impact of landing broke it? I thought maybe water broke it but it says it's waterproof on it and I don't recall getting it wet.

Some of the more expensive brands (such as HiTec) have parts to replace the gears. The less expensive ones are usually considered to be disposable.

LOL....I would think even a standard name brand like Hitec or Futaba would be far superior than that ,which
they really dont cost that much!...

The thing is how much travel did your old servo have the new 1 ur looking at has 270 degrees.. servo arms are usually included in new servo package old 1 has 6 kg new is 20kg big difference... Id look for a lesser kg servo around 10 at max...also try and get sped similar to old ..that info finding is up to you.. find how many degrees old servo moved then speed then kg.. 1/10 scale servos are mostly the same in size only thing you will have to worry about is where screws in to bottom of servo (gotta be similar..)unless your radio has end point adjustment you have to worry about the 270 degrees.....found this in simple search.its closer not sure if you had more than 60 degrees rotation.JX Servo PDI-5508MG 6kg Coreless Metal Gear Digital Servo Motor for RC Car Robot Arm Helicopter Airplane Parts
