I have been through so many rear driveshafts that its not even fun to get the t maxx out anymore. I was wondering the pros and cons of steel cv shafts. Will I have to upgrade the trans and diffs if I do this? I think I would rather put driveshafts in rather than bigger parts. Thanks for the help.

are you using the heavy duty ones? what on them is breaking?

It seems that the rear most u joint is coming apart and the shaft is sliding apart. Th eTraxxas number on the shafts is 4949x. It is a 3.3

yeah those are the HD ones.

running 2wd or 4wd? i had a problem when i was running 2wd with popping driveshafts. I have a steel tmaxx shaft but i don't know if its the front or rear. I'll find out and post back when i get home tomorrow.

As far as steel drives go, they are nice but your outdrives or tranny will pop next. I am suprised the slipper didn't prevent this.
