ok so i have a tmaxx with a picco .21 motor that i finally got to where it is drivable. after a while of jumpin off curbs and little ramps i started getting confident. right about then i screwed up and ran strait into a curb. BOOM!!! the truck broke in half. the plastic front bulkheads broke and the steering bellcranks too. so now i have aluminum bulkheads on order.

i realize that the reason my truck broke is operator error, but what are some weak links on the t-maxx?

just like wheeling a 1:1 truck you keep spare ujoins and drive shafts, what kind of spare parts should i have on hand for these trucks

Be careful where you add alloy parts, many times when the plastic arms or bulkhead break they're acting like a fuse and giving up before more expensive bits do.

Spare arms, steering knuckles and bulkheads are great spares

i already started tearing some parts off, but you get the idea...

Damn man that sucks....I see you have already done RPM a-arms.....they are pretty tough. I never broke on on my Maxx when I had it.

The two weak points that cause the Maxx to break into two pieces are the bulks and the skid plate. Get yourself some ACNCM aluminum bulks, aluminum skids and your in business....Keep the RPM arms. Stay as for away from anything with the name integy on it.

Your not the first LOL

nice, i have rpm's all around and rpm shock towers have no problem with them.

i'm on my lid more than the wheels also, so i mean thats saying something about rpm.

thats some crazy carnage...glad mine didnt do that when the brakes linkage failed and mine caught the edge of the patio b/c I was perpendicular to it and the front skid slammed right into it. from the sound it made I expected to see the damages pictured above but it seems to be holding up alright still...

yeah i got the same, rpm arms and towers.

yesterday my aluminum bulkheads, skid plate, and diff collar showed up. so now I'm just waiting on a few other parts and it can go back together so i can see what else i can break

The chassis is next, when it breaks replace it with a stronger one from the 3.3 maxx.
