Broadband Router

Anyone else hate their broadband provider? I started having problems with a modem that I bought and was told by THREE different customer service reps that I had to accept one of the new modems and had to pay a monthly charge for it. I finally managed to get a hold of someone who got me an equipment UPGRADE at no charge provided that I return my old equipment.

I'm actually lucky in the fact that I live in a small area, and the local cable company is fairly small in the overall scheme of things too. I did have to deal with a long period of sub par service and intermittent outages while they upgraded their whole network, but was rewarded with double the speeds for the same price per month, and the modem is included for free. Sucks you're having to deal with that though, I've been there when I lived in larger areas.
