Hey guys injust want to ask a quick question.. I went to get fuel for my xl with the picco 28 and all they had was odonell racing fuel.. 40% is what i got. Is this safe to run in this motor for break in? I have never heard of 40% but i have a feeling i got the wrong fuel

No it says car 40% but i talked to my engine modder and he said to add a shim to the head and it will be ok. I'm sure it will be insane tho. I have run 30 percent on a motor before but never have i used 40..

I think it would run fine if its shimmed. However for simplicity reasons I would used a fuel that your other rigs use as well this way your not having all these fuels for different cars. Just my 2 cents.

yeah i only have 2 running trucks right now anyways and I'm only running the xl..

i have added the shims and have finaly got it to run, heated the motor up and it seems to start nice..

i have run 2 tanks in the xl so far.. it seems to be really snappy no matter what i do.. its pretty cool over here.. 32 degrees tonight.. was able to get 2 tanks in but I'm gonna run it tomorrow and see what i can do with it.. its hard to see at night and i wanna break it in right.. but so far i can already tell this motor is gonna be a beast.. finiky a lil but its gonna be fun when its broken in..

please delete this post..

First of all, breaking in an engine when the temps are in the 30's and 40's is not easy. Are you preheating them before you try to start them? Any new engine will be hard to turn when it's cold.

yes.. i have decided to take a break and just forget about it for a while.. until it gets warmer anyway and maybe get some different fuel
