Hey guys, just got my Savage 25 and started first tank of break in but the engine ran really hot, is this normall??, This tank was just a little bit more than idle with the wheels spining slowly as the motor instructions said. The temp got to 290*!!. Shoul I change the stock needle settings?, and if so which one and in or out.

Thanks for the help...

holy crap man richen that sucker up!!:dancin: take the low end needle out like 1/2 to 1 turn!! thats counter clock wise!!:moped:

Your temps should be around 220-250. 290 is way too hot. Richen up the HSN (counter clockwise). Don't go too low of a temp because that's bad also. It won't bring the temp high enough to let the sleeve expand enough, causing premature wear.
