Break in Help!!

hi I just got my savage xl and was wondering how you get the tires to stop spinning when its on the stand. I ran 3 tanks of gas through it and it ran hot hot.280+ When I turn down the idel it dies. I tried turning down the lsn and it dies or bogs. I think it might need some clutch. Any ideas??

If you watch the video on hpi's website about the proper break in procedure on the xl the wheels our spinning . It is on the stand to keep from slipping the clutch at idle.
Why do you want to keep the wheels from spinning?

turn the idel down until the tires stop u can adjust your radio to

the tires are going to spin, thats why they tell you to prop it up, so you dont wear down the clutch shoes while your breaking it in.

ya boy! Thing is flyin. Alot faster than my old rc10 I had 15 years ago. Thanks for the info.
