Well I broke in my new 2.5 today and I am sold on this new engine.

I won't bore you with the details, most of you know the break in routine.

Does it wheelie?? yes it does but who cares, wheelies mean nothing to me, they are just eye candy. You can't get power to the ground with your wheels in the air.

The 2 things I love about this engine more than the speed and tourque are....#1 instant throttle response, you grab a handful and it's gone. #2 the engine does not load up, I can let it idle for 30 seconds or an hour, grab a handful and it's gone, no hesitation whatsoever.

does anyone know if that engine will fit in other cars or does it have a unique bolt pattern

you got to find it first, I think the only place they are available is on fleabay right now.

I was told by Traxxas it would be another 4 to 6 weeks before any engines would be available.

My thought is that they are trying to keep up with demand on the T's and with the Sportmaxx will be on hobby shop shelves this weekend, they are using all the engines that they can produce to use in the trucks.

the 2.5 motor is a definite improvement over the .15, i can catch and pass tmaxx's with the older motor all day long, but it still won't catch or outrun my tmaxx with the OS engine

Is this on a track or just bashing?
