So I told my girl friend I really wanted a truck. So she saw me looking and I really like the new traxxas revo 3.3. So she told tme that she would buy it for me. She is ordering it tonight. I race quads and I know a lot about that and all I know about these is that they are fun. What should I know? thanks wade

Knowing something any other hobby wont really help here except for maybe some mechanical knowledge. Once you get it, thats when your will really start needing answers. So until then just stay excited about the new rig and congrats.

First, welcome to the forum!

Now, what should you know? I would say there is really to much you need to know, so the best thing to do like sng said, is get it and then start asking questions. Until then, just be happy you got the truck, and hope for the best.

Also, post some pictures when you get it for us to see!

wrecking into blunt objects is bad

This site is great for getting help. Lots of knowledgeable people on this site if you need any help. Thats about all you need to know. :) The rest come with owning one. Have fun with it. I know my friend and I have had a blast even tho we have broke plenty lol

Welcome to the site. Seem is like how the rig will be brand spanking new, make sure you brake it in properly. Take your time while driving it, don't get cocky and you'll save yourself a lot of money unlike myself hehe.

Good luck and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. This is a great site for answers and 99.99% of the time you'll get them here.

Good luck again and let us know how your coming along...

Once your truck is broke in,(which can be a pain occasionally) your gonna have a blast with it. Good luck and like mentioned above, dont hit any blunt objects!

i know its a pian in the butt but break your motor in the way traxxas tells you to. and get a good temp gun and go play. and spur gears get one or two on hand i hate goin to pay and burnin up a gear in the frist few minutes enjoy

EXTRA GLOW PLUGS......sorry for the caps lol
just my .02cents get extra's nothing more frustrating than trying to do a break in and glow plug dies and being new not knowing much trying to figure out why it wont start up again............

Thanks guys and what exactly does the glow plug do?

Ignite the fuel. Nitro engines work like diesels. You use a 1.2 volt ignitor to get the plug hot, and once the engine is running, the compression keeps the plug hot, or glowing.

Thank you and do you think that I should seal my engine?

Welcome aboard! Search the engine sealing and break-in threads in this forum. Read them over and over and over again.:D Once you've done that you can search for tuning etc. Of course you can ask questions too, but most of it is already archived.;)

First thing you need to know about any RTR RC vehicle is that they are NOT RTR. Check for loose screws, seal the engine, check for play in the diffs. I had one RTR that had loose screws in the engine, and another that the diffs weren't shimmed properly.

Other than that, the best thing you can do while you wait, is read. Study everything you can about your new nitro RC, read the forums, read about what others have had happen to theirs.

Oh yea, and don't run into anything that doesn't have an incline, and make sure there's nothing solid on the other side of the incline.

Follow the break in procedure! Frist get a good temp gun. Harbor freight carries infared for 20 bux. After break in your gonna want to get the RPM a-arms. I got the true trac for the rear and the front with the axle carriers. Don't buy Integry. If ya do, don't tell these guys! Lol. Oh, and don't forget to follow the break in. It's prolly the hardest thing to do, only because ya wanna snap that S.O.B wide open and lett'er fly!
