I now you guys have all had this question before, but here goes.....

Just installed a new O.S. .18 TZ motor in my revo 3.3 along with a brand new exhaust.

Got one tank of fuel through it and thats it! I have the mixture needle set to slightly richer than stock settings.
I took it into the shop were I got the motor from (before I ran the first tank through it) and he adjusted the throttle linkage on the servo.
Got 1st tank through it and I haven't been able to start it since.
I'm still fairly new at this.
It's been getting quite cold outside and I don't have access to a heat gun (student budget:hehe:).

What do you guys recommend?

Thanks in advance:)

How cold is quite cold? These engines are finicky to break in anyway, cold just amplifies it. If it's not at least in the upper 50's,I won't try to break in a new engine.

Sucks to hear but in my opinion you should wait for warmer weather. Also note that the cold may not be the sole reason for it not starting. Have you checked the glow plug? It's real common to lose a glow plug or 2 during break-in.

Would agree with '66' on this as breaking in an engine while we are getting colder and colder is not a great idea. If you did manage to get it broken in I would imagine you would have a heck of a time retuning come spring as you originally tuned it in cold weather. Is it a pullstart that you can't get to pull or is it a rotostart? If its a pullstart you can't pull than preheat with a hairdryer. Also it may be a good idea to wrap the base of the head with aluminim foil to help keep some of the heat in for breakin purposes.
