ok at low speeds my car runs fine, and it runs fine at high speeds too, but when i accelerate to a high speed then slam the breaks on the engine cuts out, i just put new batteries in.

And also I've had a new steering servo to try and correct the problem of my steering not going all the way to full lock with a servo and still no joy, i think it may be just some adjustments but I'm not sure, please get back to me soon, thanks.:(

Ok the engine cutting out when braking is an easy fix. That is going to be a minor carb adjustment. On the side of the carb there is a set screw it is C in this picture. That is your idle adjustment screw. When you hit your brakes it is closing off your carb all the way and shutting off the engine. What you need to do is pull off the air filter and look down inside the carb opening. Apply the brakes and see what kind of gap you have. It should be about .5 to 1mm aprox. If it is too small release the brakes and give the screw 1/4 to half a turn and re-check until it is set correctly. Give that a shot.

That is what would be doing it in all likelihood. When you are going slower it takes less braking force to stop it so less force closing the carb. When you hit the brakes the linkage slides the carb closed and applies the brakes. If the carb is allowed to over travel it will close completely and kill the air thus the engine dies. I have had it happen a few times setting up a new ride; pretty common mate no worries we will get you fixed up.
